Good Evening Everyone,

For all those past members that have not received club correspondence, there has been a proposal put forward from Steel City Drag Club that we merge the two clubs to strengthen and maximise the opportunities for motorsport in this region.

We are holding a meeting on Wednesday 6th June at 7.00pm. This will be an informal meeting regarding the clubs future.
It will be held at the Stirling North Progress Association.

This meeting is for all past & present NDMA members. We would like to discuss the proposed merger with Steel City Drag Club. We would like to hear what members past & present think of the merger proposal and the future direction of our club.

Two meetings have been held over the past 4 weeks to discuss this proposal and a special meeting has been called for Friday 22nd June to vote on this.

These guys support us and our club so it would be great to see our members and racers supporting them.

I can highly recommend it, they are a great bunch of people up North and certainly make you feel very welcome.

There are some beautiful places to stay along the way to break up the trip, if you need any information please don't hesitate to contact me or any of the guys form CADRA.

Also attached to this one is the race dates for Adelaide. If we support the metro areas then hopefully we will see more of these guys at our track and be able to show them all the hard work that has been achieved over the past few seasons.

Please find attached the AGM notice and reminder that our AGM is coming up on Tuesday 26th June. Make sure if you plan on nominating someone that you have spoken with them first. It is not a nice position to be in being put on the spot at the time of nominations.
We have some people standing down this year so it is time for some others to stand up and being counted. This is your time to shine as a committee member.

Also our membership form is attached as all memberships are due for renewal at the end of May. You must be a financial member to be able to be nominated and elected on to the committee and to vote.

Cancellation of Race Meeting for the rest of the Season (SCDRA in Portland)

Due to this weekend's weather forecast and looking at the shocking long
range for the remainder of this month, it has been decided at our
monthly general meeting last night to pull the pin any further racing
this season. Mother nature has given us a really big uppercut this year
with major track damage at the start of the season and a record number
of rainout's, so we will be cutting our loses and wrapping up the drag
racing season. If anyone has the number for big man upstairs that looks
after the weather can they please give him a call and ask him not to be
so harsh on us next season.

Now looking ahead with some positive news for next season we have some
massive things planned including an ANDRA Rocket All Stars Round, of
course the Slamfest will be back and we can let you know that we are
currently working on negotiations for a Nostalgia meeting including
Nitro Funny Cars and Nitro FED's.

SCDRA Presentation Night
The SCDRA Presentation Dinner will be held at the Fawthrop Centre on
Saturday 7th July 2012
The event will be fully catered by the club, more information on this
will be sent out shortly.

It will be held at the South Coast Raceway Clubrooms

Good evening Everyone,

Please find attached the minutes from last Thursday's meeting. I urge you all to have a very thorough read of the minutes as we had representatives from the Steel City Drag Club attend the meeting If you read the minutes you will see everything that was discussed.

The discussion was about a proposal that SCDC put forward regarding a merger of the two clubs. Our May meeting on the 17th will be your opportunity to come and put your views and thoughts forward to the club. We understand there will be some members against this but before you make up your minds please take time to read the minutes and attend the next meeting so you can have your say and listen to what your fellow club members think and want for the future of our club.

I urge everyone to attend the next meeting as we will be voting on this proposal the following month at the committee meeting being held on Thursday 21st June. I also urge that you come with an open mind to listen to others as they will all listen to what you have to say as well.

The Aussie Muscle Car Run is in its inaugural year and you could be one of the first to be part of it all.

Please find attached the forms for the May Meeting as they will not be posted out this time round. They are available on the SCDC and NDMA websites.

At the completion of the meeting all interested parties are invited to participate at the track in a hot meal for a cost of $15 per person and the bar will be available for those wishing to purchase a cold drink. The Steel City Drag Club will be providing entertainment and a bon fire. An idea of numbers would be appreciated for catering purposes so if you are interested please let Lia 0407 607 176 or Mandy 0417 806 928 know if you are interested in attending.
